Howdy y’all!
I have been blogging for quite a few years now and after a significant “hobby” of vaping on e-cigs since quitting smoking, I decided to give those up too! I enjoyed them, but it was a short term thing and I am glad its behind me now.
So what am I up to now? Well those who know me on the local scene will know I have found a whole new hobby called Betfair sports trading! I decided all my hobbies were fun but cost me money, so I thought I better find a hobby which didn’t cost so much or, if possible, actually earned me money rather than costing me constantly!
I am pleased to say I found it!
Betfair trading is similar to stock trading but instead of betting on what will happen to share prices, you’re betting on what will happen to odds prices in horse racing, football, tennis and pretty much any other sport you can think of. It’s a fascinating thing too.
I had no idea about this until I met a guy in a bar (no comments you biatches!) who called himself a “betfair trader”. I was curious (in him as much as the subject ;)!!) so we chatted and I was glued to the subject for an hour and a half. He told me how you can predict, with practice, how football teams and horses will move in price depending on what the tipsters or newspapers are saying about them and stuff like that. I was so curious I asked him to teach me a few basics and being a great guy he agreed. It’s all done on the Betfair sports betting exchange (like the stock market for sports!) We spent quite a few evenings chatting on Skype and messenger looking at horse races, odds movements and news announcements, and before long I was making my first bucks in this great little game.
It wasn’t easy, thats for sure. In fact I am only really holding my head above water, but I can see it going somewhere, and it sure beats blogging about vapes and chuffing on chemicals all night!
I will post a few tips and tricks I learned along the way, and hopefully this time next year I will be making serious money, its looking good so far! If you like sports then it’s also enjoyable. I can’t think of anything more fun than watching fit men run around! Thats all from Johnny……
